London Surfacing Co Ltd

London Surfacing Co Ltd is an independent tarmac and asphalt surfacing company established in 1971, with over 50 years of experience in the industry. The company is incorporated as civil engineering and public works government contractors and operates only within the UK. Matt Baird is a Director of London Surfacing Company Ltd. Its personnel are trained to CSCS, CPCS, NRSWSA and NVQ standards. The company has updated its Quality Assurance system to ISO 9001 and holds SSIP (Safety Schemes In Procurement) accreditation, and is a CHAS and ACCLAIM certified contractor.

London Surfacing has worked alongside VolkerRail to resurface large parts of the Tramlink in South London, and has worked in the Bombardier train depot in Ilford. It has also undertaken private projects working directly with schools, resident associations, private enterprises and homeowners. Its main services include groundworks, drainage, surfacing and resurfacing roads, highways, car parks, footways, drives and sports surfaces.

Asphalt surfacing stands at the centre of what this Croydon-based contractor delivers, with customers describing full driveway excavation and resurfacing as the type of project where results speak for themselves. Those who have seen the finished work note that the quality of materials and standard of application leave a strong impression, and reviewers frequently point to how courteous and approachable the teams are on site. One customer whose drive was completely dug up and relaid with asphalt describes the transformation as unrecognisable, changing the whole appearance of the front of the house.

An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the professionalism of the survey and estimating stage, with prompt quotes and promising first impressions noted before work begins. Matt is singled out by name for his attention to detail and the aftercare provided once the job was complete. Repeat custom appears to follow, as one reviewer had already observed the company surfacing a relative's school before commissioning their own project. The company also handles line marking, car park and playground surfacing according to its listed specialisms.
