Tarmac Charlton Asphalt Plant

Feedback about this Charlton asphalt plant centres on two recurring themes: the speed of operations when the facility is running normally, and the conduct of staff at the weighbridge. Loads are collected quickly when the plant is working without interruption, although one account describes a breakdown caused by electrical issues that delayed a collection. One thing mentioned again and again is the manner of the employee stationed on the weighbridge, with more than one reviewer describing that interaction in strongly negative terms.

The quality of the tarmac supplied is the other consistent concern, with complaints repeated over several years that the material has not changed and that approaches about it were not resolved. One reviewer likens the mix to a soft, unworkable product and urges others to go elsewhere. The site operates as an asphalt mixing plant and building materials supplier, serving trade customers collecting material for surfacing work. Even allowing for the convenience of fast loading on a good day, the complaints about the product and the treatment of drivers form the dominant impression left by the accounts available.
