Night-time deliveries form the theme that recurs most often among accounts of Toppesfield Ltd, the road construction company working in tarmac and asphalt surfacing around Ipswich. Several buyers describe heavy plant arriving at building sites and housing estates in the small hours, with equipment unloaded over lengthy periods and residents woken by the resulting noise; one account notes that a council complaint followed. A further grievance that appears repeatedly concerns company vehicles and trailers left standing in a residential street.

In one instance a driver was challenged about an early-hours delivery and responded with an apology, suggesting that scheduling choices are made away from the crew on site. The single appreciative voice credits the business with contributing to the regional economy and with backing smaller local firms. What the feedback shows is that the surfacing work itself draws little comment, while the movement of machinery and the conduct of vehicles near people's homes account for the bulk of the dissatisfaction expressed across the accounts, alongside the disruption caused by after-dark unloading.
