J&L Roadsurfacing Contractors - Asphalt & Tarmac Contractors

J&L Roadsurfacing Scotland Ltd is a road maintenance and driveway contractor based in Edinburgh. The company provides asphalt road surfacing solutions to industrial, commercial and residential customers throughout Scotland. It has over 30 years of experience in the road surfacing industry and holds full Public Liability Insurance. All workmen employed by the company have many years of road surfacing experience. All workmen have street work tickets (CS Registered and EUSR Registered) and necessary tickets to operate plant and machinery. The company specialises in hand laying and machine work.

It has carried out road and driveway projects all over Scotland for customers including domestic householders, the farming community, schools, and district councils within the Lothian Regions. It has surfaced a driveway for one of Scotland’s ex First Ministers. The company has worked in nearly every street in Edinburgh, including patchwork repairs on public streets and Edinburgh’s City Bypass, and re-surfacing work on Princes Street, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. It has carried out re-surfacing work for schools including Gracemount High School, Firhill High School, Craigmillar Primary, Merchiston Castle and St George’s School.

The company does not ask for deposits; customers only pay on completion of any work via bank transfer. It has squads of highly trained and experienced workmen in many cities and towns throughout Scotland. It frequently covers Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, West Lothian, Falkirk, and Fife. Its residential and commercial tarmac works include driveways, private roads, footpaths, pothole repairs, dropped kerbs, house estate roads, cycle paths, hot tar & chip, private car parks, tennis courts, garage forecourts, and resin driveways.

Workmanship and an easy, trouble-free process run through the accounts left by customers, with Leonard and his crew named as friendly and hard-working from the outset. The company's clear explanations before work begins are singled out, as is its willingness to go beyond what was expected to get a project finished, including putting in hours outside the usual working day. Speed of delivery comes up again and again, from a drive laid in a couple of days to a dropped kerb arranged with the council and completed within a short space of time.

Reviewers repeatedly return to fair and transparent pricing, alongside efficient service running from the first phone call through to the finished surface. The transformed look of the frontage is a common thread, and the dropped kerb work in particular attracts praise for its neat finish. Communication is described as strong at every stage, and the team's relaxed manner is remembered as fondly as the result itself. Householders around Edinburgh say they would bring the same contractors back for further work, with new driveway surfaces and kerb drops the outcomes most often highlighted.
