We have experienced the same as what many others that have left reviews on here have experienced. Took our money, didnt use money to apply for drop curb licence, didnt turn up on day agreed to carry out work. Eventually promised a refund on 2 occasions but nothing paid back. Today we started proceedings with Trading Standards and Companies House. I would encourage all those that have had issues with these to do the same. Avoid this company.

Avoid at all costs, no answers to emails/ text, whatsapp messages, now not answering calls. Happy to take your money, our drop curb was rejected, now they won't refund deposit as promised on 5th March

We have just had Jonathan, Samson and Jonathan’s team complete a wall knock-through, a dropped kerb installation, root removal, and the construction of a new wall to close up another entry point. I can honestly say I am extremely impressed with this company. The professionalism, communication, and clear loyalty to their customers really stood out from start to finish. We received a confirmation text message the day before the work, and the team arrived exactly on time the next morning. Jonathan and his team, including Samson, worked incredibly hard throughout the day, starting at 9am and continuing right through until around 3pm. The job itself was quite a large one – involving knocking through a substantial wall, removing roots, installing the dropped kerb, and building a new wall. The work took place over several days, and throughout the whole process Jonathan kept us fully informed and updated, which we really appreciated. The entire team was professional, polite, and clearly very skilled at what they do. The workmanship is excellent, and the pricing is very reasonable considering the high standard of work delivered. They truly went above and beyond, and I would 100000% recommend Jonathan and his team to anyone considering similar work. A fantastic company and a great experience overall.

Awful company, Awful people and completely incompetent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We approached Southern Driveways about lowering our kurb and initially they seemed very competent... this changed as soon as we paid the deposit/first payment. Upon receiving our money they delayed submitting planning for over 2 months and became almost uncontactable. Finally once we made them submit planing, they submitted plans so vague and unrelated to our site that the council rejected the planning for 2 main reasons, one being no hard standing (which there is and was) and two the Parking not having enough space to comply with council regs (again there is and was). Due to the fact that these conmen were uncontactable we couldn't contest these points and even after sending southern driveways a document to send to the council they did nothing. Once we did get in contact Johnathan's response was pay me more. What an absolutely disgusting man. Retrospectively there are several reviews regarding kurb lowering and how poor the service is so we should have known better than to trust them.

Absolute scam. Took a payment of £849 to do our drop kerb and not had a response since. I have been chasing them from August 2025 and no answer or reply. Avoid this company.

I paid for a drop kerb which was never carried out. After repeated attempts to resolve this directly, I received no response and no refund. I have since contacted Citizens Advice Bureau and Action Fraud, notified my bank of the scam, and escalated the matter formally with a recorded escalation letter/email sent. Despite all of this, there has been no response or communication whatsoever. Just after sending my stage 2 letter I got a reply from company. Extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and professionalism Very miss-leading company this is. Massive waste of my time out of my life. Avoid these people.

Fantastic experience, the work carried out by Jonathan and his crew was outstanding, very courteous and polite lads that worked in absolutely hideous weather to finish the job on time, the work itself was outstanding and my wife and I are very pleased with both the dropped kerb and the parking area. Could not recommend them any more, brilliant company.
